The NAC conferences (Nederlands Aardwetenschappelijk Congres) bring together all fields of research within the Earth Sciences. The NAC conferences aim to provide a true interdisciplinary forum for discussion and for young researchers to present their results in a way that is accessible to a broad audience.

This is the 10th time the NAC is being organised. Initiated by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Royal Geological and Mining Society of the Netherlands (KNGMG), these two organisations still provide financial support. The Darwin Center for Biogeology is organising the NAC this year.

No special theme has been chosen for the upcoming conference. The main goal is to bring together as many geoscientists as possible. That is why almost all geoscience disciplines and institutes in the Netherlands are represented on the programme committee. The mission of the members of the programme committee is to encourage as many people as possible to attend NAC10 and to encourage affiliated groups and societies to hold their (Annual/General) meetings in Veldhoven during/parallel to the conference.

Posters presentations and key lectures will form the program of NAC10. All posters will be displayed in a one room of the Koningshof. Time slots for these meetings can be allocated during the parallel sessions. In the plenary sessions, eminent scientists will present keynote addresses.

NAC10 will be held on April 22nd and 23rd 2010 at Koningshof, Veldhoven.
